Complaint by PJR’s wife closed

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Police have closed the case filed by Indira, wife of Congress legislator P. Janardhan Reddy, in the Jubilee Hills road rage incident involving her son, after investigations found that the allegations were ‘not true’.

In a statement on Friday, Commissioner of Police Balwinder Singh said Mrs. Indira’s complaint was a sequel to the complaint lodged by Y.S. Raveendranath Reddy alleging that he and his son were assaulted. After examining a large number of witnesses, police concluded that the complaint was not true.

“The relatives of the complainant are aggressors and the complaint has been given after many hours of the incident, only as a sequel to the complaint lodged by Y.S. Raveendranath Reddy. The case on the complaint of Mrs Indira is being closed,” Mr. Singh said.
