The Saraswathi Velu College of Engineerig, Sholinghur was established in 2001, since then continuously imparting Quality Technical Education to the Rural mass in order to met the present industrial expectations. The college provides placement opportunities to the students from backward regions of vellore district from the day one of its inception.
A separate placement & training centre is functioning to conduct regular personality development classes and arranging guest lecturers for soft skills and providing placements guidance to their final year students.
The centre is also facilitates employment opportunities in and around vellore district for those who passed out and sourcing for the their employment.The placement centre is consistently pursue its goals through 1.Anna university placement consortium 2.VIT university placement consortium 3. Regular on campus recruitment programs throughout the year.
One of such on campus recruitment programme was conducted on June 24, few companies like HCL, WONDERSOFT, RELIANCE, PLEXUS and LAB TECH and Colleges of various Disciplines of Engg, Arts and Science and Polytechnic colleges were present to choose their candidates.
More than 500 candidates were participated the camp and out of 500, 90 students have been selected.
