Meet on Prasar Bharati inconclusive

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: The meeting of the Group of Ministers (GoM) on the Prasar Bharati restructuring remained inconclusive on Friday.

Though there was general consensus on allowing the Prasar Bharati employees the option of returning to the Government fold, members were of the view that the legal implications of such a move should be explored first before arriving at a final decision. The Government has to decide on the fate of these employees by August 2 – the deadline set by the Supreme Court.
