dated July 14, 1957: Nagarjunasagar Dam

Mr. S.K. Patil, Union Irrigation and Power Minister, laid the foundation stone of the Nagarjunasagar masonry dam at the dam site in the presence of a large gathering on July 12. Mr. Patil recalled how, when he was in Andhra during the last general elections, people used to ask him about the Nandikonda project and his assurance that it would be conceded had now been fulfilled.
