MLA-MLC land row hots up

Staff reporter

SANGAREDDY: Supporters of the dissident Telangana Rastra Samithi legislator T.Jayaprakash Reddy in a press conference on Friday, dared the Member of Legislative Council R.Satyanarayana to an open debate on Saturday on allegations made by the latter on land grabbing in Dharmasagar near the proposed IIT.

Mandal Parishad president Anjaneyulu, municipal chairperson B.Vijayalakshmi, vice chairman Jalaluddin Baba, Market Committee chairman Ramsingh Nayak and TJR Yuva Sena president Ramakrishna Reddy in a joint press conference here on Friday, alleged that the MLC who is a journalist, amassed property worth crores of rupees illegally. They said that all facts would be brought to light on Saturday at the debate.

They also threatened Mr Satyanarayana that he would have to face the consequences if he failed to prove the allegations.

Responding to the challenge the TRS camp announced its willingness to participate in the debate only if the discussion is between the MLC and the MLA in the presence of the media.

Involvement

TRS district general secretary Beeraiah Yadav, former district president Raghunandan Rao and former ZP floor leader Narahari Reddy organized a press conference later in the evening and asserted they would prove Jayaprakash Reddy’s involvement in Aminpur’s survey number 343, Kollur and Dharmasagar land issues.

They said that the Vigilance Commission had confirmed the role of the MLA in the Aminpur land issue. The TRS leaders announced that if the MLA failed to attend the debate it would mean that he was accepting his involvement.
