THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Ten seats in the MBBS course at the Dr. Somervel Memorial Medical College, Karakkonam, will be set apart for students belonging to community running the college. Of this eight seats will be for students from the SIUC (South Kerala Diocese) community and two for converts from Scheduled Castes to the SIUC community with an annual family income of not more Rs. 2.5 lakhs.

Students wishing to participate in the allotment to these seats by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations should submit the necessary certificates before 5 p.m. on July 16. The roll number of the applicant should be indicated in the application sent along with the certificates. In The Hindu dated July 13 it was erroneously reported that the counselling to these seats will be held on July 16. —Staff Reporter
