NEW DELHI: Three persons, including a security guard, a driver and a domestic help, have been arrested by the South Delhi police here on Friday in connection with murder of K. D. Tripathi, brother-in-law of Central Bureau of Investigation Director Vijay Shankar. The body was found in Mr. Tripathi’s Sainik Farms bungalow here on Wednesday. During the interrogation, they reportedly broke down and confessed to having committed the crime. They reportedly told the police that they entered the house around 2 pm and fled with jewellery and ash after murdering Mr. Tripathi. 400 persons questioned
Earlier in the day, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Delhi) Anil Shukla said that nearly 400 people including domestic helps, plumbers, garbage-collectors, private security guards and milk vendors who visit Sainik Farms regularly have been questioned in connection with the murder so far. The police were also going through the dossiers of criminal elements active in nearby areas. “Several of them were picked up from different parts of the district for questioning,” said a police officer.
