Woman kills daughter, self

A woman killed her daughter and committed suicide at her residence here early on Friday. C. Vijayarani (23) of Old Kuyavarpalayam Road hanged her daughter C. Deepika (4) and then committed suicide, also by hanging. The victim took the extreme step owing to poverty and family problems. The bodies were shifted to the Government Rajaji Hospital for post-mortem. The Teppakulam police have registered a case.
