Four arrested in tiger skins seizure case

Udhagamandalam: Four persons were arrested in connection with the seizure of tiger skins at Ottapaalam near Palakkad recently, District Forest Officer, Nilgiris North Division, Mohammed Iqbal Basha told The Hindu here on Friday.

The interrogation of two persons arrested by Kerala Forest officials at Ottapaalam had pointed to the Nilgiris connection. Based on this, District Forest Officer, Palakkad, Justin Mohan arrested Jayaraj (49) of Ooty, Sudhevan (50) of Katteri, Ranganathan (54) of Coonoor and Rajan (37) of Aruvankadu. — Special Correspondent
