Special Correspondent
AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat police claim to have busted a module of the Pakistani spy agency, ISI, operating in the country to smuggle in fake currency, narcotics and arms and ammunition through the Mandvi port in Kutch.
The police have arrested six persons including two Pakistan nationals. They revealed that the module had already smuggled in Rs.24 lakh in fake currency through Mandvi and sent it to Hyderabad.
Kutch District Superintendent Gyanendra Singh Malik said on Friday that the network was busted after the arrest of Abdul Gaffar Qasim Chiba, a Pakistan national, in Kutch. Acting on the details obtained from him, police arrested another Pakistani, Abdul Khalif Tayyab Chauhan.
