Bopanna-Cuevas duo in semifinals

NEW DELHI: Rohan Bopanna and Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay beat Joseph Sirianni of Australia and Jasper Smit of Holland 6-0, 6-1 to enter the doubles semifinals of the $100,000 Siemens Open Challenger tennis tournament at Scheveningen, Holland.

The second seeds had outplayed Frank Clausing and Bjoy Wijnmalen of Holland 6-3, 6-2 in the first round.

In singles, Bopanna had lost 2-6, 4-6 to Christophe Rochus of Belgium in the first round. The effort fetched him 885 euros.
