Chennai: V. Nishant made an unbeaten 209 as Bala Vidya Mandir defeated St. Mary’s ‘B’ by 283 runs in the TNCA City Schools under-17 cricket competition for the C. Ramaswamy Trophy here recently.

The scores: Balalok MHSS 170 for three in 28 overs (D. Venkatraman 77 not out, R. Vasanth 28) lost to Sankara Vidyashram MHSS 172 for nine in 28 overs (Rohit Srinivasan 45, Natraj 28, Aamir Khan three for 24).

Bala Vidya Mandir 325 for five in 24 overs (V. Nishant 209 not out) bt St. Mary’s MBHSS ‘B’ 42 in 11.5 overs (V. Adhit Krishna three for 13).

SBOA MHSS 188 for nine in 29.5 overs (Barath Prasanth 37, K. Harish Chaitanya 31, S.K. Rabin 32, R. Srinath four for 39) bt Sri Ramakrishna Mission HSS 40 in 16 overs (J.D. Vincent three for two).

St. John’s Engg. School & JC 106 for seven in 30 overs (S.R. Vibhu 34, Amritesh three for 17) lost to Don Bosco 76 for three in 17 overs (Anish Wadhwa 28). Don Bosco won the rain-interrupted on better scoring rate.
