Two held for murder

VILLUPURAM: The police on Saturday arrested A. Ramu (30) and his mother A. Anjalai (50) of Kachirapalayam on charges of killing his father K. Ammasi (57) of Mathur. The police said Ammasi got voluntarily separated from the family because Ramu’s marriage was not to his liking. To vent his ire Ammasi used to beat up his wife after getting drunk. When Ammasai beat up his wife, Ramu killed his father. They were remanded to judicial custody.
