Course on ‘Peace Education’ concludes

NEW DELHI: A six-week course on ‘Peace Education’ for school teachers organised by the Department of Educational Psychology and Foundations of Education at the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) concluded over the weekend.

Thirty-three teachers deputed by different State Education Departments across the country attended the course. The course was started by NCERT in 2005 to raise consciousness among teachers about their role as peace educators, to make them learn ways to practise and promote peace among children.
