Isolated rain in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Southwest monsoon has been active over south interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala and coastal Karnataka, at many places over south interior Karnataka and at a few places over Telangana. Isolated rainfall occurred over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu and north interior Karnataka.

The following stations recorded heavy rainfall in centimetres:-

Kollur (Udupi dt.) 9 and Valparai, Perinthalamanna (Malapuram dt.), CIAL Kochi, Kottayam and Yellapur (Uttara Kannada dt.) 7 each.

FORECAST (valid until Monday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places over coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at many places over south interior Karnataka and north coastal Andhra Pradesh and at a few places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Lakshadweep. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka.
