Mahindra to play exhibition matches
Thiruvanathapuram: Former National Football League champion, Mahindra United (Mumbai), will play two exhibition matches here next week.
The matches are held as part of Mahindra’s preparation for the AFC Cup to be held in August. Mahindra, which finished third in the NFL this season, will play State League champion, State Bank of Travancore, and a Combined District XI team during its visit to the city.
The matches will be played at the Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium. The Mumbai outfit will arrive on July 22 and is expected to be in the city for a week.
The dates of the matches will be finalised by the Thiruvananthapuram District Football Association in the next two days. — Principal Correspondent
