Burglar, three wives held

HYDERABAD: Manthri Shankar, who is charged with involvement in more than 120 burglaries and arrested several times earlier, was caught by police once again here on Friday along with his associate, Yogender.

Based on his confession, the Gandhinagar police also arrested his three wives who used to conceal the stolen property.

Shankar was intercepted while travelling in a stolen car at Gandhinagar. Shankar came out of the jail in May last. A month later, he burgled two houses in Gandhingar on a single day and decamped with Rs. 13 lakh worth property. Based on his confession, the police picked up his wives Madhavi, Godavari and Shalini.
