Woman found dead

A woman, P. Parvathamma, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her friend’s house in Chintalmet on Saturday. The incident came to light when residents complained of foul smell emanating from the house and alerted the police. Parvathamma (35), a native of Mahbubnagar district, was staying with one Venkat after she was deserted by her husband three months ago, the police said.

Boy falls from building, dies

A seventh-standard student Md. Akram (10), who suffered grievous injuries after falling from the first-floor of his building at Momimpet in Ranga Reddy district on Friday, died while undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital on Saturday.

House burgled

Thieves took away gold jewellery weighing about 100 grams from the house of a retired postal employee at Bahadurpalli in Dundigal on Friday night. The house-owner Krishna Kumar and his family members were away when the theft was committed. Neighbours alerted the police after noticing the broken lock on Saturday.
