SANGAREDDY: The open debate call given by supporters of dissident TRS legislator T. Jayaprakash Reddy and Member of Legislative Council R.Satyanarayana resulted in violence including an attempt to attack the MLC at his home here on Saturday. More than 100 supporters of both the warring camps including the Municipal chairperson B. Vijayalakshmi, TRS district general secretary Beeraiah Yadav and former district TRS president Raghunandana Rao clashed. Lathicharge
The trouble started when police tried to remove the tent erected by the MLA’s supporters near Ambedkar statue who were trying to organize a rasta roko. Municipal chairperson B, Vijayalaskmi and vice chairman Jalaluddin Baba and a large number of supporters of the MLA took out a rally. Police arrested them and kept them at the town police station. Meanwhile TRS activists and supporters of the MLC gathered at the Press club and wanted to take out a protest rally. R. Satyanarayana addressing the press at his residence alleged that the MLA is trying to silence him by using force. The MLC in a complaint made to the Superintendent of Police alleged that members of TJR Yuva Sena Usman, Sekhar, Narsimhareddy and Raju tried to attack his family members.
