Recently, the Telugu community of NRIs in the US had a successful meeting of Telugu speaking Indians residing in USA under the auspices of TANA. However, the NRIs forgot the burning problem of family disputes of newly married couples settling in USA as in the recent past there were a number of cases physical and mental torture of wives by their NRI husbands in USA. In fact there was no programme of any kind in the recent TANA deliberations to look into the problem. In view of this grave situation of the wives of NRIs, I request TANA to form a cell for counselling. JP Reddy, Nalgonda Apostles of democracy
If the lives of Abraham Lincoln and Mahatma Gandhi have any meaning, the world cannot be divided into two – democracy functioning in the one and the absence of it in the other. Both dealt with affairs of the State either in or out of administration. Both were among those few politicians in history who, armed in moral splendour, stood against the murky background of power politics. Both had faith in the people and wielded power. Both fought for great causes and, in martyrdom, found a fitting climax to life built on super human foundation. M.Satyanarayana Rao, Hanamkonda
