Woman poisons daughters

VILLUPURAM: Vennila (24), wife of Dinakaran of Manampattu near Ginjee, administered pesticides to her two daughters and later consumed the same to end her life on Monday.

She was said to have resorted to this extreme step following a quarrel with her husband. While the children — Tamil Selvi (two and half years) and Tamil Arasi (one and half years) — died instantaneously, Vennila was struggling for life.

Vennila has been admitted to Puducherry hospital. — Special Correspondent
