CHENNAI: The website of the city unit of Tamil Nadu Arya Vysya Maha Sabha, www.globalaryavysyas.in, was launched here on Sunday to mark the inauguration of its year-long silver jubilee celebrations.
The website currently provides information about the Sabha’s activities and the silver jubilee celebrations.
The Sabha representatives said the site would be spruced up in 8 months’ time to provide additional features such as job opportunities and matrimonial services. The Sabha plans to take up projects, including the launch of a “Vasavi directory” that would provide details about members, construction of an old age home near Tiruvallur at a cost of Rs.20 lakh and financial assistance to meritorious students.
Support for students
President of Tamil Nadu Arya Vysya Maha Sabha G.Kasturirangan the Sabha would support the education of economically-backward students who wished to either pursue higher studies or join Central Government services such as Indian Administrative Service and Indian Police Service.
