Story revolves around a father-son relationship Invitation featured about 30 popular father-son duos
First day, first shot: The first scene of “Santhosh Subramaniam” as shooting started on Monday.
CHENNAI: The siblings are at it again. ‘Jayam’ Ravi and M. Raja, who set the box office cash registers ringing with ‘Jayam’, ‘M.Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi’ and ‘Something Something Unakkum Enakkum’ on Monday launched their fourth film together titled ‘Santhosh Subramaniam’. Like their earlier collaborations, the actor-director combination have once again borrowed the script from a Telugu blockbuster. The film is a remake of ‘Bommarillu’, a smash hit in Telugu, starring actor Siddharth. AGS Entertainment, which produced last year’s sleeper hit ‘Thiruttu Payalae’, would produce the film. The story revolves around a father-son relationship and has actor ‘Jayam’ Ravi playing the hero and actor Prakash Raj, his father. Actor Jenelia will play the female lead. She acted in the original film as well. Though the film is about a father and his son, it has an extraordinary love story to narrate, asserts the director. “I don’t think anyone can do as much justice to the script as the three lead artists,” Mr. Raja added. The talkies portion of the film would be shot primarily in Chennai. The director plans to take his crew abroad to shoot the songs. The invitation for the launch featured about 30 popular father-son duos ranging from Shivaji Ganesan-Prabhu to Sivakumar-Suriya and Sathyaraj-Sibiraj.
