Restoration of stop at Vellayil hailed

KOZHIKODE: The Malabar Chamber of Commerce and the Malabar Train Action Committee have expressed appreciation that the railway authorities have reinstated the stops of the Kozhikode – Kannur passenger trains at the Vellayil Station here. In a letter to A.K. Harith, Railway Divisional Manager, K.P. Aboobaker, secretary, MCC and P.V. Gangadharan, chairman, Malabar Train Action Committee, said the step benefited scores of commuters working near the station. They also wanted the railway authorities to upgrade the Vellayil Station.
