Power supply switched off

Thiruvananthapuram: The railway authorities had to switch off the power supply to trim the tree that fell onto the overhead electric wire near Paravur station on Tuesday in the heavy winds. Railway officials said the PWD authorities were intimated around 12 noon and the tree was removed. The electrical and traction personnel were rushed to the spot.
