Initiative on jobs for Kannadigas

BANGALORE: Large and Medium Industries Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu on Tuesday directed officials of the Industries Department to appoint a special officer to ascertain whether private industries had provided jobs to Kannadigas as recommended by the Sarojini Mahishi Committee.

The Minister, who issued the instructions based on a suggestion by BJP MLC ‘Mukhyamantri’ Chandru, told pressperson that the special officer would inspect industries in the State periodically to ascertain whether they had complied with the Mahishi report. — Special Correspondent
