IAF holds free eye camp for civilians

Thiruvananthapuram: The Indian Air Force (IAF) held a free eye check up camp for civilians today at its Southern Air Command headquarters in Aakulam here.

Ms. Geeta Rane, wife of Air Marshall Y. R. Rane (Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Air Command) inaugurated the eye camp. Nearly 200 citizens from the neighbourhood attended the medical camp. Ms. Rane is the president of the Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional). The Association had recently held a free dental check up camp for school students. The IAF had initiated a greening drive in the Aakulam area. It had enlisted the help of school children to plant over 500 saplings.
