TUMKUR: Members of “Keregala Samrakshana Samiti of Tumkur” on Tuesday staged a dharna against the use of 55 tanks here for other purposes and demanded that Hemavathy water be released into them. The members took out a procession to the Deputy Commissioner’s office where they staged a dharna. They condemned the Deputy Commissioner’s action in giving away eight acres of land in the Upparahalli tank bed area to three communities.
