VISAKHAPATNAM: The medical and health exhibition of Andhra Medical College is back after a gap of 10 years. AMC is organising Arogya Utsav from July 20 to 29 as part of its 85th foundation day celebrations, according to its Principal C.S. Every one should know the constitution of human body and the methods of treatment on which they are spending huge amounts,” he said. The exhibition is also being held in tune with the concept that every medical student must have the experience of participating in a medical and health exhibition during his or her MBBS course. Highlights
Some of the highlights of the exhibition will be the cancer preventive aspects, awareness about HIV and AIDS, infectious diseases like dengue, malaria and chikun gunya, the life style diseases like diabetes and hypertension. Specimens of organs affected by a disease and healthy organs would be on display. Models of sophisticated medical equipment would be on display and films on several health topics would be screened. During the exhibition period all the routine blood tests would be done by collecting half the fee charged out side.
