Mr. Vatash said that each railway employee coming under the division would be given a personal identification number (PIN), which would enable him to get details about his or her service, PF balance and others. Initially, a temporary PIN would be given to employees until the individual PIN was allotted, he added. Through the new system, it would be possible to get PF balance details by sending SMS to a specified cellphone number, Mr. Vatash said. Targets
Later, addressing the officers of the Hubli division, Mr. Praveen Kumar called on them to put in their best to achieve the targets fixed by the Railway Board. Referring to the demand for increasing freight loading facilities, he asked the officials to plan in advance to meet the infrastructure needs. To meet the growing traffic, some more sidings were required to be constructed in addition to the 23 in existence, Mr. Praveen Kumar said. Expressing happiness over the upgradation of unloading points as per the guidelines set by the Railway Board, he underscored the need for providing comprehensive facilities at the Navalur Goods Shed.
