‘BJP running smear campaign’
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: Bharatiya Janata Party leaders, including the former Deputy Prime Minister, L.K. Advani, should apologise to the nation and to United Progressive Alliance Presidential candidate Pratibha Patil for making false accusations against her and running a smear campaign, Rani Satish, State Mahila Congress president, has said. Describing the BJP as the owner of a factory where allegations, rumours and accusations were manufactured, she said the smear campaign against Ms. Patil was its latest product. She told presspersons here on Monday that the BJP had always resorted to mudslinging when faced with an opponent of impeccable credentials.
