IIMS

IIMS, established in 1994 and based in Kochi, is making enviable progress every year by way of its excellent functioning. It was IIMS that successfully implemented the concept of "Job while Studying" for the first time in Kerala. A major section of economically backward students reaped the benefits of this scheme. Considering this, the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Association of India (FHRAI) gave recognition to an institution under this category for the first time in the country. This would make IIMS students eligible to work in any of the star hotels in India.

Thanks to the inimitable contribution of IIMS in the field of hotel management education, the Punjab Technical University, a UGC approved Government University selected IIMS as the approved centre to conduct its BSc Hotel Management, Catering & Tourism course. As recognition of its 12 years of flawless functioning, IIMS became the Regional Study Centre of M.G. University, one of India’s foremost universities. Moreover, the university allowed the institute to conduct its prestigious courses like MBA, MCA, MSc (IT), BBA, B.Com, BSc in Fashion Technology and B.Lisc.

A group of committed teaching professionals conduct classes exploiting the latest devices and modes of teaching. Along with their studies, IIMS offers its students free courses in personality development and spoken English along with several computer courses. At IIMS, separate hostel facility is provided for boys and girls. With the introduction of many popular educational programmes, IIMS has already left an indelible mark in the Indian educational arena and has been honoured with the coveted Nehru Award for offering the best job-oriented education. Today, IIMS is the hotel management institute with the largest number of students on its rolls in India.
