DUBAI: Air India and Indian are offering special fares for illegal expatriates seeking an exit from the United Arab Emirates under a three-month amnesty scheme. The amnesty period began on June 1 and will end in September. Indian is offering concessions to 16 destinations in India. The flights to Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Jaipur, Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Calicut and Kochi will cost DH 690 (Rs.7,578), including taxes, Abhay Pathak, regional manager, Indian, said. Tickets for Chennai are priced at Dh 640 (Rs.7,029), Lucknow Dh740 (Rs.8,127), Goa and Tiruchi Dh840 (Rs.9,226) and Dh790 (Rs.8,677) for Hyderabad. The amnesty seekers can avail themselves of connecting flights at an additional cost of DH100 (Rs.1,098). “We are also planning a special chartered flight to Hyderabad from Dubai.
