AOC Centre scored a 6-1 win over State Bank of India in the last match of A-1 division hockey league championship here on Tuesday. The teams were locked 1-1 at the break. For AOC, Somera Horo struck twice and Ramandeep Singh, Ramaswamy, Satprakash, Kiran Prasad one each. For SBI, Harinath Reddy reduced the margin. The teams which have qualified for the super league are AOC Centre, Sports Authority of India (STC, Secunderabad), South Central Railway and Artillery Centre. Big win for CCOB
City College Old Boys (CCOB) blanked Hyderabad Bengal Association 7-0 in the Salar-e-Millat Challenge Cup prize money football tournament at Quli Qutub Shah Stadium here. Zubair put CCOB ahead in the very first minute, followed soon by Azeem. Just before the break, Moazzam increased the tally, Fareed converted a spot kick and Moazzam scored again to give CCOB a 5-0 lead at the break.
