Coimbatore: Coimbatore, by virtue of its first innings lead against Thoothukudi, entered the quarterfinals of the TNCA under-19 inter-District (second stage) cricket tournament here on Tuesday.
The host bundled out the visitor (overnight 30 for two) for 190 to take the first innings lead and a place in the last eight.
Gautam and Janarathan Balaji picked three wickets apiece for Coimbatore, while T. Marimuthu saved some face for Thoothukudi with a well-knit 60.
