More than 40 army and civil cars and cultural troupes from the Song and Drama Division took part in the rally, which was flagged off in Hyderabad on July 8 by Minister of State for Defence M. Pallam Raju.

The rally leader Col. Vijaya Naik told reporters that the rally had provided a platform for the military personnel for an interaction with the civil society and the administration en route.

The rally will be back to Hyderabad on July 22 after traversing through various districts in Rayalaseema, Telangana and coastal Andhra for 100 days. Col, Naik said the rally, flagged off on the eve of 4th CISM Military World Games, scheduled to be held in Hyderabad from October 14 to 21, was intended to create public awareness on sports among the youths in the State.
