Waiver of power charges arrears

HYDERABAD: The Government has issued orders sanctioning Rs. 35 croreas ad hoc payment to AP TRANSCO towards waiver of power charges arrears due from SC/ST domestic consumers whose consumption was up to 100 units per month with effect from November 1, 2006 to March 31, 2007.

The GO 72 issued on July 13, is in tune with the Government decision to waive power charges arrears to alleviate the difficulties of SC/ST domestic consumers. –Special Correspondent
