Low pressure area peters out

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The low pressure area from which heavy rain was feared over the State, moved away from the Orissa-West Bengal coast and weakened into a trough.

As such, the threat of heavy rain has subsided.

The State, however, is getting light to moderate rain under the influence of the monsoon.

On Tuesday, many places in Telangana and a few places in Coastal Andhra received rain, with Nizamabad and Sullurpet recording 4 cm each.

There was isolated rain in Rayalaseema region.
