Government says building allowed in parking space Details of unauthorised structures collected
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Government has suspended K.D. Ajaya Ghosh, town planning officer of Kochi Corporation, from service for granting building permit in violation of the Kerala Municipal Building Rules. An official release issued here on Tuesday said that Ajaya Ghosh had permitted building construction in the parking space at Panampally Nagar in Ernakulam. He also gave permission to construct three floors in a building located near Maharaja’s College playground. Stringent action
Local Administration Minister Paloli Mohammed Kutty has directed to take stringent action against unauthorised construction. The Government has already collected the details of unauthorised structures in corporations, municipalities and panchayats. The civic bodies have been directed to take action against such buildings in a time-bound manner. The Government has got information that many town planning officers had committed irregularities in issuing building permits. Action will be taken in all such cases, the release said.
