Stolen property recovered

HYDERABAD: The Tappachabutra police on Tuesday arrested Shaik Aftab, 24, who used to steal jewellery from gullible persons after diverting their attention. Stolen gold ornaments weighing 160 gm were recovered him.
He used to approach lower middle class families claiming to be a marketing agent and make them believe that they had won some free gifts life colour TV or CD players. He would insist on submission of some free coupons to secure the free gifts and tell them to supply each coupon on payment of Rs. 2,000.
He also used to give them an option of mortgaging the jewellery and steal the same by distracting attention of the victims.
In another case, the police recovered stolen gold jewellery weighing 60 gm and a motorcycle with the arrest of Shaik Wajid.
