NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Tuesday allowed the jailed member of Parliament from Madhepura in Bihar, Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, to cast his vote in the Presidential election. Pappu Yadav is lodged in the high security Tihar Central Jail here in connection with the murder of Communist Party of India (Marxist) MLA from Bihar, Ajit Sarkar. Justice B.D. Ahmed directed the Superintendent of Tihar’s Jail No. 3 to take Yadav to Parliament House on July 19 to let him cast his vote. Mr. Yadav had sought a direction from the jail authorities to make arrangements to enable him to vote as the Election Commission had made no arrangement for MPs and legislators in jail.
