Vellore in last eight

Chennai: Vellore entered the quarterfinals of the TNCA under-19 inter-district tournament after taking first innings lead over Salem at Ranipet on Tuesday.

The scores: Vellore 256 in 63.2 overs (Bilwaprasad 111, B. Goutham 39, Suresh Kumar four for 54, Venkatesh four for 64) and 85 for five (Fiazullah Sharif 40) drew with Salem 196 (Ziaullah Sharif four for 38).
