Pensioners seek interim relief

Puducherry: The Confederation of Central and State Government Pensioners Associations here has asked the Centre to ensure that employees in service and those who have retired are provided an interim relief pending the Sixth Pay Commission report.

The confederation demanded that the Commission’s report be published before Deepavali this year.

Meanwhile, a lump sum may be paid to each of the in-service and retired staff as an interim relief, the confederation said.
