BHUBANESWAR: The Orissa Government on Wednesday announced that all government offices, business establishments and other organisations would write signboards in Oriya language from now on. Addressing the first meeting of the Oriya Bhasha Pratisthan at the Secretariat here, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that instructions in this regard had already been issued to District Collectors. The State government had set up the Pratisthan last year to work towards the promotion of Oriya language. Stating that the Pratisthan will take measures to make Oriya language grow in the modern times, Mr. Patnaik said that the organisation would take steps to publish as many as 100 classic Oriya books and literary works that were not available in the market.
