Special budget for farm extension activities

Sirsi: Agricultural Science Centres in 74 districts of south India are helping researchers to carry out experiments with the coordination of farmers. A special budget will be set aside to conduct agricultural extension activities, said Director of Agriculture University, Dharwad, Xevier Isabelladas.
He was speaking after inaugurating a seminar on “New invention in plantation culture” held under the auspices of Sirsi Agriculture Science Centre on Monday at Hallikoppa near Banavasi.
Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR) scientist Chandregouda said that the ICAR was ready to set up a processing unit of agricultural produce at Sirsi.
A hand book on plantation culture was released.
