Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Wednesday quashed the Cooperative Registrar’s order superseding the managing committee of the Kollam District Cooperative Bank. The order was passed by Justice K.M. Joseph while allowing a petition filed by president of the bank Mohankumar. The judge found that the provisions of the State Cooperative Societies Act had not been followed before dissolving the managing committee of the bank. The petitioner contended that the State Cooperative Bank and the State Cooperative Union had not been consulted before superseding the managing committee.
