Kumaraswamy’s effigy set on fire

Staff Correspondent

Chitradurga: Employees of the Chitradruga City Municipal Corporation (CMC) burnt the effigies of Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa and Minister for Municipal Administration Alangur Srinivas, after taking out a mock funeral procession in protest against the alleged discrimination by the Government in providing justice to them, here on Wednesday.

The CMC employees demanded that the Government include them in fifth pay commission, regularise the services of daily wage workers and increase the salaries of Group D workers.
