Ministers promise crackdown on illegal quarries

KOZHIKODE: Ministers K.P. Rajendran and Benoy Viswom have said that functioning of illegal quarries in the hilly regions of the district where landslips occurred this monsoon season will be stopped.

They were speaking to mediapersons after visiting the areas affected by heavy rain on Wednesday. They instructed the officials concerned to repair roads and to reach aid to those affected. They also visited the houses of those killed.
