Patiala: Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Wednesday came in defence of his beleaguered media advisor B. I. S. Chahal saying cases against his confidant were “false”. After meeting Chahal in the Patiala jail for about 20 minutes, Capt. Singh said all cases against him were false. He said it was Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) acting chief Sukhbir Singh Badal and his father Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, who were responsible for the “witch hunt”. When asked about the recovery of three kg of gold from his lockers, Capt. Singh said it was all rubbish. PTI
