Degree admission: Candidates who have passed the Save-a-Year (SAY) examinations of the higher secondary/VHSE courses can apply for admission to degree courses of the university (2007-08) till July 30. Admission to these candidates shou ld be given in such a manner that it does not affect those in the existing rank lists.

Psychology viva-voce: The viva-voce of the fourth semester M.A. Psychology examinations scheduled at Government Women’s College, Thiruvananthapuram, on July 19 and at University College, Thiruvananthapuram, on July 20, have been postponed. The fresh dates will be announced later.

B.Tech. classes: Classes for the third semester B.Tech. courses in engineering colleges affiliated to the university will begin on August 1.

Islamic History: The viva-voce of the fourth semester M.A. Islamic History examinations will begin at 10 a.m. on July 26 at University College, Thiruvananthapuram. Students should bring along their hall tickets.

B.Sc. practical: The Linear I.C. Lab., practical of the fourth semester B. Sc., electronics examinations (2005 scheme) will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 23, 24 and 25 at the Applied Science College, Mavelikkara, U.I.T., Thiruv ananthapuram, Applied Science College, Adoor, National College, Manacaud, Immanuel College, Vazhichal, CHMM College for Advanced Studies, Varkala, the Mar Thoma College of Science and Technology, Ayoor, the KVVS College of Science and Technology, Adoor, and at Sri Ayappa College, Eramallikkara.

Campus recruitment: A Bangalore based BPO company will conduct a campus recruitment in the last week of July for students of the final year B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.Tech. programmes. There are more than 600 vacancies in the company.

Students wishing to participate in the campus recruitment should give their bio-data to the Principals of the affiliated colleges or to the Placement Officer or to the employment and guidance bureau at the Students’ Centre, Thiruvananthapuram. A meeting of Principals/Placement Officers will be held at 11 a.m. on July 27 at the University office, Thiruvananthapuram, to discuss this programme.

M. B. L.: The last date for submitting the dissertations of the fourth semester M.B.L. programme has been extended to July 28.

Communicative English: The oral examination of the Communicative English course offered by the Institute of Distance Education will be held from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on July 21 and 22 at the IDE Centre at Karyavattom. Students should b ring along their hall tickets.
